Brief Description of Golden Tooth in House of The Dragon Series

The Golden Tooth is a stronghold located in Westerlands, Westeros and the chaos of the Seven Kingdoms passes through the mountains around it often. Leo Lefford from House Lefford is rulling here currently. This important place in House of The Dragon series is situated along the river road and is east of Ashemark and Sarsfield, west of Riverrun and Pinkmaiden, and north of Hornvale[1].

Position & Strength: It is a very small castle but really commanding the hill pathway between the Westerlands and the Riverlands. If you wish to attack Westerlands from the east, you must gain control over the Golden Tooth. Now, with the help of huge Gold from the Tooth made the House Lannister as one of the richest houses in the Game of Thrones.

Now, let’s move to the past. Leffords are seating here. The mentioned family was formed by the union of First Men and Andals. Cerion Lannister, a King of the Rock took control over the hilly vicinity of the Tooth by defeating three petty kings in the battle.

Also, as mentioned in the House of Dragon series Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen sent Lady Rhaena Targaryen here. She and her dragon, Dreamfyre, stayed here with the Leffords in 51 AC for a very short length of time.

History: Here, the first battle between five kings occurred. The battle is called as the Battle of Whispering Wood. And Ser Jaime Lannister, the son of Tywin Lannister defeated the Riverlords at the Golden Tooth with help of one segment of his father’s army.
